YEARS
CHILDREN SUPPORTED
SCHOOLS SUPPORTED
of Children Needing Education & Care
Our work began in 2014 supporting vulnerable children in Kenya with education, clothes, shoes, food, and medical care and rehabilitation.
We work with every child individually to not only provide exceptional support, care and love, but also teach self-sustaining life skills to prosper them throughout their lifetime.
The work we do has earned us the good faith of people in the areas we serve – a faith we intend to honour.
By putting our kids through promising private schools, we ensure that they have access to quality education and extracurricular activities. We’ve taken charge of the tuition, food, and educational needs of 33 children from vulnerable backgrounds, thereby providing a holistic education experience.
We have worked with existing Kenyan schools to improve their facilities and educational environments.
School of Angels in Sofia, Kenya was started with the support of one of our board members, Thomas Giandomenico and his Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department's SWAT Unit. This school has served over 150 high school students, with a student securing 4th position in the country in 2019.
We provide specialized education to students, to enable them the best opportunity to pass Kenya’s Certificate of Primary Education and Certificate of Secondary Education which is essential to get into excellent schools and colleges.
We’re also in the process of providing our first of five schools/home for 300-400 children, while training them to combat trafficking.
Most importantly, our children are provided with a nurturing, family atmosphere to prepare them to flourish in the workforce and community.
Kenya’s young children are often prone to diseases due to a combination of factors.
We worked to equip 2 children with prosthetics. Naaman, our first child, has had two new legs and several revisions over the past 5 years as he is growing so fast.
Multiple medical emergencies were successfully met, such as Silas’s cranial surgery, Frederick’s ongoing leg treatment.
We are prepared to combat emergent situations. We helped several children battle malaria, cholera and typhoid infections. Additionally, we helped our children and their families navigate the COVID-19 pandemic.
Our goal is to establish our own clinics on each school/residence we build, serving our children and pregnant women in the surrounding community.
We’ve set up health insurance for children, their families, or guardian families.
Our children living in rural Kopere singing with passion about God helping through the ups and downs of life, while living in tremendous poverty.
Your donations give children at SOAR a secure present and a hopeful future.
Come be a part of SOAR!
A quality standard of living is not a luxury, it is a need! We at SOAR have stood by the children we’ve been guiding, and their families, schools, and communities during tough times.
We’ve helped a student rebuild her home that got washed away during the rain.
We’ve also worked with the community to provide them land to rebuild.
We’ve enabled relief packages to our students’ families during the Covid-19 pandemic.
We’ve helped provide food, mattresses, clothing, and supplies to families that lost their homes during severe floods, and even an accidental fire.
We lost one of our children to an accidental drowning, and have since included water safety training as part of our activities with the community.
We work to ensure that care packages reach members of our communities when crisis strikes, and provide them training to help tide it over.
We continue to add to and improve upon our activities, and involve ourselves with the community, to help keep Africa’s vulnerable children in safe environments and pull them out of the vicious cycles of deprivation.
Our activities are centred around providing a holistic learning environment for children to study, escape starvation and trafficking, and avail medical care so they can grow healthy and happy.
We also continue to help the communities we’ve become a part of, be it with resources, training, equipment, funding, or collaborative development.
